Although Morales and his multiverse activities are fictional, real-life innovative practices allow people to leverage technology to support multilayered connections on various levels. Morehouse College senior Gera Baano-Stewart II recognized the power of this innovation and has launched several apps to support his generation, building a social connectivity ecosystem called Reign Verse.

Morehouse College Offers Higher Education Courses To Georgia Inmates

The only all-male Historically Black College and University (HBCU), Morehouse College , has its own initiative to assist current inmates in being prepared for life after incarceration. A part of the  Andrew Young Center for Global Leadership (AYCGL), Morehouse College faculty members take aspects of its curriculum to Georgia-based inmates. Prison reform is built on the premise that individuals deserve a second chance. The concept of reform has led to lower rates of recidivism and more significant opportunities for people to have a greater chance of positive rehabilitation. According to a write-up by Morehouse associate professor Kipton E. Jensen, the AYGLC Prison Education Initiative was designed to support staff members who teach humanities courses to imprisoned men and women across the Georgia prison system. Rockstar Energy Teams Up With Cortez Bryant To Launch A Resource Hub For Black Artists In Atlanta's AUC

Atlanta’s University Center (AUC) will soon have a space fit for the next rockstar! Today Rockstar Energy has announced that it will team up with Cortez Bryant, a renowned talent manager known for working with greats like Drake and Nicki Minaj. Huntsman Savile Row Makes $100K Donation To Ensure Morehouse Men Are Tailor-Made For Success

Morehouse Alum Receive $1M From Google.org To Tackle The Diversity Gap In Tech

Nonprofit CodeHouse has received $1 million in funding from Google.org to continue its mission to combat the diversity gap in technology. Morehouse College alumni and Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc. brothers Ernest Holmes and Tavis Thompson founded the 501(c)(3) nonprofit to encourage Black and Latinx students to pursue careers in STEM. Honoring its commitment, CodeHouse has launched various Tech Exposure days to provide educational resources to high schoolers. It also recently launched the CodeHouse Scholars Initiative in March 2021. Through the newly launched four-year program, students receive mentorship, networking opportunities, and technical training, alongside the scholarship. The opportunities afforded to students will fulfill the nonprofit’s goal to strengthen and diversify the pipeline between minority students and industry-leading companies, according to the nonprofit’s website. Morehouse College Students Walk Away With $20K Grand Prize Thanks To Zillow

Thanks to Zillow, these Morehouse College students are cashing out and helping others at the same time! Zillow has officially announced the winners of its HBCU Housing Hackathon, where more than 150 students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) competed for top prizes. Each team of students was to bring innovative ideas to life that would help both at-risk renters and struggling first-time home buyers. The team from Morehouse, made up of four students, walked away with first place and a grand prize of $20,000 which will be split evenly amongst all four students. Their program, “Reliby,” uses a machine to predict increases in rent and utility costs at a particular address over time.
