The year 2022 may be the year of expansion for Kanye West.

The rap billionaire recently alluded to plans of launching Yeezy stores globally, beginning first in Georgia. Then, as AfroTech previously reported, Young Thug offered to help.

“@KanyeWest I got over 100 acres,” Thugger wrote on his Instagram Stories. “However many you need they’re yours free of charge. On GOD.”

However, now, West may have different plans for the land.

Kanye West Alludes To Donda University

In a screenshot posted to Instagram late Thursday night, West shared messages that show he has an interest in building Donda University.

And the rapper is already making moves, revealing he told 2 Chainz to call the mayor to get the ball rolling for Donda University.

But Not In Simi Valley

“Got you. I’m gluing propositions of format together,” the screenshot read. “Would it make sense to do it on the Donda academy property in Simi Valley?”

Building On Young Thug's Property

West responded to the sender, “I’d rather move the trees on Young Thug property. I got 2 Chainz calling the mayor now to launch build Donda University.”

If it happens, this would mark the second school launched by West.

Donda Academy

As AfroTech previously told you, West was working to build a private school in Simi Valley, CA, that would service 60 students from kindergarten through high school.

Per the school’s website, “the mission is to provide the youth with the passion, purpose, and spiritual foundations they need to thrive in tomorrow’s world.”

About One Year Later, Donda Academy Has Welcomed Students

“Our project-based learning model allows students to guide instruction based on their interests and skills. We promote ideation, prototyping, and real-world implementation. Donda students grow in their faith and community through daily all-school worship and celebration at Sunday Service,” a statement from the website read.

Additional Offerings

In addition, Donda Academy is offering students full school worship, lunch, and recess.

Available courses to students include language arts, math, and science. In addition, the academy offers enrichment courses such as world language, visual art, film, choir, and parkour.
