Lox Club, a Jewish-centered dating app billing itself as an app for people with “ridiculously high standards,” has two new investors that are, perhaps, surprising. According to Variety, rapper Lil Yachty and former Dr. Phil breakout star Bhad Bhabie (real name: Danielle Bregoli) have teamed up with Scoop Investments to invest in the app. Scoop Investments is an investment fund run by Adam Kluger, who represents both Lil Yachty and Bhad Bhabie. Founded in late 2020 by Austin Kevitch, Alec Lorraine, and Will Neild, The Lox Club app says that though it’s centered around Jewish people, it’s not exclusively for Jewish people’s use. “Lox Club values authentic, well-rounded people with ambitious dreams and careers, who can make you both think and laugh, regardless of their Instagram following,” the company said in its announcement, according to Variety. “Lox Club is like a deli; it’s culturally Jewish, but you don’t have to be Jewish to enjoy it. The community is curated via an application...

A third-generation Black family-owned plumbing business in Atlanta, GA, is making a difference by renovating outdated water heating facilities at a local homeless shelter. Head’s Plumbing, which has been in operation for over 40 years, is giving back to the community by providing Nicholas House residents with on-demand hot water, according to the Marietta Daily Journal. The family-owned business researched local organizations in Fulton County and saw the shelter as a way to broaden its support by assisting many families in need at once. “We were presented with an opportunity to do this through our vendor partner ServiceTitan,” Head’s Plumbing CEO Khadija Head told MDJ. “So I sat down with my brother Odari and told him that I didn’t want to do a single-family home — I wanted to do something that would touch a lot of people. The core of our culture, our community, and our future is a true family dynamic.” The three-story facility will have a separate tankless water heater installed on...

Spotrac reports he secured a four-year rookie contract valued at $17.4 million. O’Neal, who also is passionate about music, went on to secure a $10 million deal to release three albums under Jive Records. This led to collaborations with some music greats. “I was like ‘I got to take it,’ but then reality kicked in,” O’Neal shared on “Check-In at Wynn” in Las Vegas, NV. “I was like ‘I’m not a rapper’ and then I said ‘Let’s have a meeting’… I said as long as I can rap with all my favorite rappers, I’ll do it and they agreed. So, I think for a non-rapper, I probably have the best discography ever. Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson, Snoop, Ice Cube, Notorious...
