Society would want us to believe that it is not “manly” to cry. Whatever that antiquated notion is supposed to mean holds no real value. Human beings, no matter how they identify, are emotional beings. So whether it’s due to anger, sadness, shock, or pure joy — crying is a normal healthy behavior that should be embraced, not shamed. Rapper and podcast host Gillie Da King held back no tears at what seems to be the signing of a new, lucrative contract alongside his cousin and co-host, Wallo, for their show Million Dollaz Worth of Game.
If working smarter and not harder were a person, it could very well be 21 Savage. The rapper, born Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, hit the music industry with his late 2014 hit “Picky” featured on the 2015 mixtape, “The Slaughter Tape,” and continues to be a force in the game. Whether he’s sliding on features with Hip-Hop giants like Drake or lacing us with hits from his own projects, 21 Savage has solidified his place in the industry, even in ways beyond the music. In 2018, the rapper launched his Bank Account financial literacy program in order to help underserved youth learn more about money management. Today, he continues to lead the charge as one of the few artists who own the rights to his masters. During a recent appearance on Gillie Da King and Wallo’s “Million Dollaz Worth Of Game” podcast, he explains how owning the rights to his music has proven to be very lucrative for his career. View this post on Instagram A post shared by KING GILLIE (@gillie_da_king) “We have a human connection with our audience,” shares Wallo. “They mess with us because they can relate. It’s more relatable when we’re just being us every day in a world where everyone is trying to be an illusion.” Wallo and Gillie are the hosts of Million Dollaz Worth of Game — a weekly podcast that’s pretty self-explanatory but is also described as the perfect blend of discussions on personal experiences, comedy, music, and real-life issues. “We did the research and waited before just jumping in the podcast game,” shared both Gillie and Wallo. “A lot of times people see everyone moving and just jump into things without...
