Elijah Muhammad isn’t your average 13-year-old, and he has four degrees to prove it.
He is now the youngest Black person to graduate college with a degree in computer science and cybersecurity, per a report from Louisiana’s WAFB 9.
Making History
“I have 10 IBM certifications, one Google IT certification, and four diplomas from Oklahoma City Community College,” Muhammad told KOCO 5 News, a sister station of the outlet in Oklahoma.
What’s more, he said it took a conversation with his dad for him to recognize the extent of his accomplishments.
“At first, I didn’t really understand the full impact of it until my dad fully explained it and was like, ‘You’re really doing this, you’re the youngest to ever do it,’” Muhammad recalled.
Still Making Time To Be A Kid
Despite his educational endeavors, Muhammad continues to cherish his time as a kid.
“As many accomplishments as I have, I still go swimming, go outside, play basketball, and still have fun,” he explained.
Additionally, he isn’t the only one exceeding in his family.
Per the outlet, his older sister also graduated college early, at the age of 15.
A Family Full Of Geniuses
And that’s not all.
Another one of his sisters, Rashay Khadeja Muhammad, has taken to social media to share the family accomplishments, which include having a mother as a doctor, herself as an HBCU graduate, and their father as the man with the master plan to help them do it all debt free, she says.
