Our favorite “Hot Girl” Megan Thee Stallion is not only about to earn her college degree, but she’s also about to help others who are on track to earning their degree, too.

Megan Thee Stallion was recently announced as one of Glamor’s 2021 Women of the Year. In her bold cover story, Megan tells the story of how she landed in health administration after switching over from business and before that, nursing. Now, the “Savage” singer has no plans on letting her degree sit as a trophy alongside her three Grammys, six BET Awards, and a Billboard Women in Music Award, to name a few.

As Megan is set to become a college grad, she won’t have the same realities as others who face the difficulties of landing a job in their expected career field.

“I see a lot of my peers—a lot of people I went to high school with,” Megan Thee Stallion said, according to Glamour. “They get their degree in, like, biology and then work at Forever 21. But why? Because nobody wants to give you a job because you don’t have experience.”

Megan Thee Stallion plans to create a solution to provide opportunities for recent grads to land jobs by opening an assisted living facility, and this has been a desire of hers long before the pandemic. Megan was inspired to go into the healthcare field after watching her grandmother act as a caregiver, Blavity reports.

“I watched my grandmother take care of my great-grandmother all my life,” Megan said. “Just watching these two little old ladies take care of each other, I was like, ‘Y’all need some help.'”

As a future Texan Southern grad and an advocate for Black women, Megan Thee Stallion wants HBCU women to know they will be welcomed with open arms when she launches her business.

“Come and get your experience over here,” Megan says in a press statement. “Generations taking care of generations, making people feel like they are still at home, still with their families.”

Congratulations Meg! You’ll have a slew of support on your newest ventures.
