Black-owned haircare brand Mielle Organics has announced a monumental move to tap rap star Megan Thee Stallion as its first-ever Global Ambassador as it embarks on an aggressive growth plan for 2021.

Megan — who has recently embarked on her own natural hair journey — is excited to team up with a brand she feels identifies with her and other Black women.

“I’m excited to represent a global hair care brand that is Black-owned and women led,” said Megan in a press statement. “It’s an incredible feeling to become an ambassador for a beauty brand that uplifts women to stand in their natural beauty.”

According to a press release, this new deal will further position Mielle Organics for worldwide expansion and supports its philanthropic efforts as it continues to build upon its growth.

“Mielle has seen phenomenal growth in many key categories and the addition of Megan Thee Stallion as our global ambassador will further fuel our continued expansion and reshape the beauty industry,” CEO Monique Rodriguez shared in a statement. “We are excited to partner with the leading female rapper to realize our global trajectory and to pursue new avenues of engagement that will bring new customers to our products.”

COO Melvin Rodriguez chimed in to say, “By teaming with Megan, we are well positioned to explore and expand our product lines to continue to meet the needs of our clients.”

Mielle Organics — which was founded in 2014 — is considered a global brand that’s dedicated to empowering communities of color. Its slew of initiatives have attempted to expand beyond product sales with charitable investments focused on four core pillars; business, education, family and community.

With the uptick in digital marketing the global beauty industry has seen most recently, Mielle plans to develop its own series of innovative campaigns with the help of Megan Thee Stallion to reach both old and new consumers.
