Once again, a one-of-a-kind sports collectible is preparing to rake in the dough, thanks to some help from some of the NBA’s greatest players — LeBron James, Michael Jordan, and the late Kobe Bryant.
After being posted to Goldin Auctions (GA) early Wednesday morning (July 20), the Upper Deck Exquisite Triple Logoman card is set to sell for millions, based on not only its association with some familiar faces but the fact that it is a Gem Mint 10. In other words, the card is in perfect condition, TMZ reports.
Going For The Big Bucks
According to the GA CEO, Ken Goldin, the card’s bidding starts at $750,000 and is anticipated to sell for more than $3 million.
“You have received a Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant Game-Used trading card,” says the card. “On the front of this card are pieces of memorabilia that have been certified to us as having been used in an NBA game. We hope you enjoy this piece of basketball history, as we continue to keep you as close as you can get!”
One-Of-A-Kind
As previously reported by AfroTech, Logoman cards are quite a hot commodity. Recently, a LeBron James card that included three jersey patches from each of the teams he has played for — the Cavaliers, Heat, and Lakers — sold for a whopping $2.4 million.
What makes the card so special, besides the fact that it includes memorabilia from a few NBA legends, including the late great Kobe Bryant, is that it is the only Logoman to ever receive a perfect condition score. While it has not been confirmed what exact games the jerseys — where the patches stem from — were worn, they were indeed sported during an actual professional game.
The front of the card includes three NBA patches from real-deal jerseys worn by James, Bryant, and Jordan.
Between all three players sit 10 NBA MVPs, 15 NBA championships, and 50 All-Star game selections.
The auction closes on Aug. 6.
