Winning seems to have become second nature for Drake.

As AfroTech previously told you, the rapper has been placing his luck in the betting arena through a partnership with the online gambling platform Stake. He’s been reportedly raking in big wins playing roulette among other things. Now, it looks like he has immersed himself in another lucrative hobby, this time with trading cards.

Drake joined sports card pioneer and founder Ken Goldin on Instagram Live. The duo opened ten cases of Flawless Basketball, Fleer, and Topps Chrome cards and appeared to be on the search for the triple Logoman, Michael Jordan, and Lebron James rookie cards, the post reveals.

“@champagnepapi and I are on IG Live NOW ripping 10 cases of Flawless Basketball, some 1986 Fleer and 2003 Topps Chrome πŸ€ Join us as we hunt for the triple Logoman, Jordan & Lebron rookies πŸ™πŸΌ Much love to @dacardworld, @paniniamerica, and @cardporn for helping to make this epic day happen,” Ken Goldin wrote on Instagram.

Drake Strikes Big

It was clear all parties were hoping to strike big, and luckily they achieved their goal. As Drake opens a box, he is filled with joy realizing he snagged a 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan Rookie Card. The rare sports memorabilia has previously been auctioned for the amount of $50,000 to upwards of $700,000, if in prime condition. Just this past February, Goldin Auctions sold two 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan Rookie cards for a historic $738,000. Yahoo! News reports, “Both cards were virtually perfect and were given a grade of Gem Mint PSA 10.”

What’s more, Drake’s good fortune continued as he secured five additional Michael Jordan cards, including three rookie sticker cards, and two standard rookie cards, the outlet also reports.
