Lil Durk is ushering in a new era. And, this time, it’s in the metaverse.

According to a press release, the buzzing rapper is releasing digital wearables through his company NXTG3NZ, founded alongside Satoshi Designs and Nexus.

Lil Durk already made his first splash debuting his “7220” NXTG3NZ NFT digital sneaker via Instagram on March 2, 2022.

The drop will be one of many for the rapper, who is looking to integrate more fashion in the Non-Fungible Token (NFT) space.

“I paid attention to the NFT market, and I didn’t see much fashion. I saw art. Being into fashion and being known for my style, I felt like the fashion part of NFTs was missing, and being one of the first to fuse them together would be perfect,” he said, according to Forbes.

"7220" NXTG3NZ Holder Will Co-Design Future Collection

The “7220” NXTG3NZ sneaker drop will have 10,000 NFTs up for grabs and buyers can use the token on avatars throughout the digital space, according to a press release.

In addition, “7220” NXTG3NZ holders will obtain exclusive memberships such as a chance to win a physical pair of shoes. There will only be 10 pairs available. What’s more, holders will have a rare opportunity to work alongside the designer of the collection Devonte “Black” Young and the NFT’s creative team for a future collection.

“We’re here to show the world you don’t have to be a genius or have 5 degrees to learn the NFT and Crypto space. As we understand the process, we’re teaching the community in terms they understand. We can all win together,” said Stally, the CEO of Satoshi Designs, according to Forbes.

Fans looking to tap in can turn to Lil Durk’s Instagram for an announcement on the pre-sale.

More Metaventures On The Way For The Rapper

This isn’t the only metaventure up Lil’s Durk sleeve. The rapper shared, in an interview with Forbes, a collaboration with Grand Theft Auto may be on the way and it will include live concerts.

“There are a lot of non-believers when it comes to the Metaverse, but it’s proven to be the future. We’ve been working on a deal with Grand Theft Auto, where we will have our own world within the game, and I will record myself doing videos along with live concerts. So we are staying ahead, and the world will have to catch up,” Lil Durk said.
