Getting to the bag and establishing a long-term relationship are two terms people typically don’t see in the same sentence. However, a glaring exception comes regarding Jalen Hurts and his status with the Philadelphia Eagles.
According to the NFL, Hurts and the Eagles have agreed to make him the highest-paid NFL player in the league’s history, with a contract that includes nearly $180 million guaranteed.
While this accomplishment is no small feat, it was made possible by the skill and savviness of his agent Nicole Lynn.

Shared in a previous post by AfroTech, Jalen Hurts’ professional relationship with Nicole Lynn started with her sending him a DM, hoping for the chance to represent him as a client. After researching Lynn’s track record, Hurts felt the choice was clear.
“I know the agent world in the NFL, and all sports, is very male-dominated,” Hurts explained to Sports Illustrated. “But Nicole was really on top of her stuff. She was prepared. She knew what she was talking about. She was hungry. And she was determined. And I feel that determination like that never rests. Once you come across such a determined individual, that just hits me a little different.”
Now the President of Football for Klutch Sports, Lynn became the first Black woman to represent a quarterback during the Super Bowl. After securing the historic $255 million contract max extension for Hurts, Lynn is making history again.
The NFL breaks down the five-year extension to include $110 million fully guaranteed at signing and another $126.5 million by March 2024. Hurts can also earn $15 million in incentives that would bring his potential earning amount to $274.3 million by 2028.
The Eagles quarterback will receive a raise this year, including a $23.29 million signing bonus, making $64 million through the top of 2024.
This max deal locks in Hurts’ time with the Eagles for the next six years, not to mention his new contract has the franchise’s first-ever no-trade clause.
The deal Lynn negotiated is also said to be the largest contract ever secured by a female agent.
