The bids for the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 sneakers have been popping off within a quick time span, which comes in as no surprise being that they were created by the late fashion pioneer Virgil Abloh.
The leather sneakers — sold in an exclusive colorway and Louis Vuitton pilot case — went up for online auction on Sotheby’s on Jan. 26, as previously reported by AfroTech. Only 200 pairs ranging from sizes 5 to 18 went up for sale on the auction’s website, with the starting bid at $2,000. With about a week left until the sale closes, bidders have been putting their money where their mouths are for the iconic collaboration of the Abloh customs.
Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Lows Auction Prices
Complex reports that Lot 178 for a men’s size 11 has a bid for $90,000, at the time of this writing.
The lowest asking price for a pair is available in sizes 7 and 7.5 — current bids are at $20,000, according to the outlet. Then, there are the rarest sizes (5, 5.5, 16, 17, and 18), in which only one pair per size is available. These sizes are currently priced between $24,000 to $40,000.
The auction will officially close on Feb. 8.

AfroTech previously shared that all of the proceeds will go to Abloh’s “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund, which was created to back young Black talent in fashion.
