In 2021, Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union announced that they’d be launching a skincare and diaper line called Proudly, which is dedicated to “melanin-rich” babies and is inspired by their daughter, Kaavia. Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union’s first real estate ventures go all the way back to 2010. At the time, according to The Wall Street Journal, Wade had separated from his first wife, Siovaughn, and purchased a home in Miami for $10.6 million. The pair ultimately sold the home in 2021 for $22 million, according to the Triangle Business Journal.
In 2018, the Los Angeles Times reported that they paid $6 million for a home in Sherman Oaks, CA. In May 2021, they sold the property for $5.5 million, taking a $500,000 loss.
Currently, the pair live in a mansion in Hidden Hills, CA. The 17,000-plus-square-foot home was purchased in 2020, and the pair paid $17.9 million.
Other Ventures
AfroTech previously reported in April 2021 that Dwyane Wade acquired ownership stake in the NBA’s Utah Jazz. Wade also said that he wanted a “hands-on role” in the ownership.
“This goes way beyond the dream I had to just play basketball in the NBA,” Wade told ESPN. “I’ve seen Shaq do it in Sacramento. I’ve seen Grant Hill do it in Atlanta.
