Though Gunna is currently making headlines for a “beef” (which is more like a healthy debate) with rap legend Freddie Gibbs, he made even bigger headlines when he unveiled “Drip Season 4,” which dropped on Friday, Jan. 7, 2022.

Billboard revealed that the College Park, GA native teamed up with superstar artist Daniel Arsham of New York City to create the album cover. The cover, which features a bust of Gunna, also comes complete with the rapper’s signature chain and sunglasses.

“I’ve been a fan of Gunna’s music for quite some time and was pleased when he reached out to me a number of months ago through DM with questions about my work,” Arsham said to the outlet. “He was very curious about how some of the pieces that I create are made. He was intrigued about the crystal materials I use and the idea of time travel and the future, present within the works. We connected in person a few times and at some point, he asked if I wanted to work on the DS4 album cover with him.”

No doubt that this mixtape will be just as successful as all the other ones before it!

The 28-year-old rapper is just getting started in the industry, but he’s already made quite a name for himself. While almost all of his money has come from the sales of his music, he’s also started to make his moves in the business world. He’s also made some philanthropic moves with some prominent Black women and has given back to his community.

Even with his success, Gunna never forgot where he came from, and that’s a beautiful thing.

Let’s take a look at what we know about Gunna and his net worth.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Gunna has a net worth of $4 million. Gunna’s net worth comes exclusively from his music sales. His first real success came in 2018 when he released the “Drip Season 3” mixtape. The mixtape peaked at No. 55 on the Billboard 200, but it spent more than a year on the charts. That same year, he released the “Drip Harder” mixtape with Lil Baby, and that mixtape peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 while spending 124 weeks on the charts (the longest any of his mixtapes, to date, have spent on the charts). He followed that up with “Drip or Drown 2” in 2019, which peaked at No. 3, and spent 50 weeks on the charts. Finally, he dropped “Wunna” in 2020, which has been on the charts for 71 weeks, and reached the top of the Billboard 200 charts.

As AfroTech previously reported, Gunna recently teamed up with Ludacris to record a Jif peanut butter commercial as part of a new campaign.

Fans of Hip-Hop — both the old and new generations — were in for a treat as the South’s very own Ludacris and Gunna partnered with Jif peanut butter’s The Lil Jif Project. And while Ludacris is no stranger to making business moves, Gunna’s collaboration with Jif is a major win for the Atlanta native as well.

Also as AfroTech previously reported, Gunna teamed up with Goodr Founder and CEO Jasmine Crowe to open up an exclusive clothing and grocery store called Gunna’s Drip Closet.

“He’s providing a way of life for these families and this is something that is legendary,” Crowe said to CBS46. “I don’t think anything like this has been done before in the city of Atlanta.”

In addition to support from heavy hitter Gunna, the closet was built within three days thanks to additional help from Footlocker and Reebok, and of course, Goodr.

As AfroTech previously reported, Gunna is also getting into the business of NFTs (non-fungible tokens). In December 2021, after reuniting with Crowe to do a $100,000 giveaway, it was revealed that the rapper purchased a Bored Ape NFT.

The NFT, which is named “Butta,” is worth about $300,000. The Atlanta rapper also celebrated his newest collectible by getting a tattoo of the NFT and hosting a performance.
