WNBA star and Nike signee A’ja Wilson is making major moves.

Wilson has been a cornerstone player for the Las Vegas Aces since she was drafted first overall by the team in 2018, as noted by the WNBA. She has led the Aces to two consecutive national championships and earned multiple MVP awards, including one in 2024.

What’s more, Wilson has continued to dominate as the year comes to a close. She made history as the first player to score 1,000 points in a single WNBA season, according to ESPN.

“It was pretty surreal but it was one of those things that I did not understand it was in reach,” Wilson said in reflection, per CNN. “It didn’t really hit me until the second half when I was like ‘oh no, this is doable.’ … Like now to live in it, I’m living my dream and so I’m so grateful to be able to say I’m here, and now I know someone is going to crush it soon and going to be 2,000 points in a season, so I am going to hold onto it now while I got it.”

Wilson’s victories also extend off the court. She is among Nike’s roster of signature athletes. In 2018, she signed an endorsement deal with the athletic apparel brand as a rookie, joining the ranks of LeBron James, Serena Williams, and Naomi Osaka. Fast forward to 2024, and she announced the launch of her signature shoe, set to debut in 2025.

“It’s been incredible working with Nike toward a dream of having my collection, and it really is an honor to take this next step and become a Nike signature athlete,” Wilson said in a news release shared by Nike. “From my logo to the look of the shoe and the pieces throughout the collection, we’ve worked to make sure every detail is perfectly tuned to my game and style.

What’s more, Wilson’s track record with Nike is only strengthening as she has reportedly signed a six-year extension that is “one of the highest-paid shoe endorsements in women’s basketball,” according to ESPN Senior NBA Insider Shams Charania on X.

“Just do it x6. Top Tier Blessings,” Wilson wrote in a caption shared on her Instagram story.
