DJ D-Nice, LVMH To Celebrate Two-Year Anniversary Of Club Quarantine With A Donation To Black Girl Ventures

You may know Derrick Jones — or DJ D-Nice — for coming up with the concept for Club Quarantine during the height of the pandemic to help people stay connected. He dedicated his time and talents to host Club Quarantine daily on Instagram Live. Now, he will be joining forces with Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) to celebrate Club Quarantine’s second anniversary, which will kick off with a three-day celebration set to begin today. “It’s not necessarily about the music. It’s a way for people to stay connected to friends and their families because we could not see each other,” D-Nice said exclusively to AfroTech. He continued: “We found ways to dance virtually which was very important because I firmly believe had it not been for these virtual spaces of dancing and listening to music, or just being able to communicate with one another using Instagram or Zoom, the depression and suicide rate would have been higher. Rihanna Officially Becomes A Billionaire At Age 33

Rihanna has officially hit billionaire status! The singer, born Robyn Fenty, didn’t just rise to the top as an entertainer, but over the past few years she’s become quite the businesswoman thanks to Fenty Beauty — the cosmetics company made to make “women everywhere (feel) included.” After launching in 2017, Fenty Beauty is now the reason that Rihanna has hit billionaire status. The 33-year-old is now worth an estimated $1.7 billion, according to Forbes. Not only does this make her the wealthiest female musician in the world, but now Rihanna is alongside Oprah Winfrey as the richest female entertainer. An estimated $1.4 billion of her fortune is all thanks to Fenty Beauty which the “Love On The Brain Singer” owns half of. The rest of her coins comes from her lingerie company, Savage x Fenty, which is worth an estimated $270 million and the remaining amount is thanks to the money she’s made as a chart-topping musician and actress. If folks haven’t considered Rihanna a mogul yet, they...
