Founder Of Scholly Christopher Gray And Actor Jesse Williams Team Up To Help Students Become Debt Free

Students will now have a chance to pursue higher education without the burden of crippling debt, and it’s all made possible thanks to a new partnership between award-winning mobile application Scholly and American actor Jesse Williams. According to a press release provided to AfroTech, the initiative — Pay It Off Fund — will allow four students to secure up to $25,000 each to pay off their student loan debts.

Actor Jesse Williams Invests in Black-Led Banking Platform Greenwood to Champion Financial Empowerment

Actor and community activist Jesse Williams has become the latest investor to join Greenwood’s financial empowerment efforts. Greenwood — the new digital banking platform for Black and Latinx entrepreneurs and small businesses — recently launched to help repair the hole in Atlanta’s finance market with the help of rapper Killer Mike, former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young, and Bounce TV founder Ryan Glover.
