The Toronto native — who partnered with online gambling company Stake back in 2021 — recently disclosed that he placed a total of $100,000 CAD during the NCAA Final Four matchup between the Duke Blue Devils and North Carolina Tar Heels, according to reports from Complex. His bets were placed on the losing team, the Blue Devils, who hoped to send the legendary Coach K (Mike Krzyzewski) off to retirement with a win after a 47-year career. According to an Instagram post made by Carter, the pair can also celebrate as they are said to have made franchise history. “Man, what a journey this has been. Over a year ago, @coachk44, myself, and @theprepper started working on making a dream of ours a reality. A lot of hard work from everyone involved. As of today, we officially purchased 18 Bojangles restaurants across three states, and became the 5th largest Bojangles franchisee in history,” Carter wrote.
