Drake continues to place big money on sports games, but unlike his last bet, the rapper isn’t walking away as happy this go-round.

The Toronto native — who partnered with online gambling company Stake back in 2021 — recently disclosed that he placed a total of $100,000 CAD during the NCAA Final Four matchup between the Duke Blue Devils and North Carolina Tar Heels, according to reports from Complex. His bets were placed on the losing team, the Blue Devils, who hoped to send the legendary Coach K (Mike Krzyzewski) off to retirement with a win after a 47-year career.

“I’m a Wildcat for life but I’m riding with @getfadedinc team for this one,” wrote the “Hotline Bling” emcee alongside a screenshot of the bet.

The Lucrative Sports Industry

Not only is Drake not afraid to place his money where his mouth is when it comes to sporting events, but the superstar is even dabbling in the world of sportscard collecting.

In a recent opening stream, AfroTech reported that the rapper stumbled upon a rare 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan Rookie Card which, depending upon the condition of the card, can be worth an amount between $50,000 and $700,000.
