The Brooklyn Nets have joined the “Netaverse.” HypeBeast is reporting that the New York-based basketball team is offering what they’re calling “a revolutionary way to watch the NBA.” By using over 100 high-resolution cameras to create a full 360 virtual reality experience, fans who participate in the team’s investment in the Metaverse will be able to be on the court, in real-time, as they play ball. Fans can choose to watch the Brooklyn Nets from any part of the virtual Barclays Center, which is the first stadium to install this camera setup (but, they hope, they will not be the last). Fans can choose to either be behind the net, courtside or even in the middle of the court — and they don’t have to break the bank to get these once-coveted seats. A video explanation of how it works can be seen below.
