If DJ Khaled’s famous saying, “Another one,” were a business, it would be Pinky Cole’s Slutty Vegan.
The Atlanta-based entrepreneur recently celebrated the fifth anniversary of her popular restaurant and announced its 13th location set to open on the campus of Spelman College.
According to an Instagram post from Cole, the upcoming Slutty Vegan will open during the fall semester, making it the second location settled on a college campus since the Georgia Tech opening.
“Hey, y’all. It’s me again, Pinky Cole Hayes. And you know, we just had our five-year anniversary,” Cole said in the Instagram reel. “So right now, I’m on Spelman College’s campus, and it’s move-in day. And guess who else is moving in?”
While the new location will be on the all-women’s HBCU campus, like all of the restaurants and dining halls in the Atlanta University Center, the vegan eatery will also be open to students from surrounding institutions.
Cole started Slutty Vegan in 2018 by selling fresh-to-order burgers via Instagram from her two-bedroom apartment. According to her website, the first location was opened in October 2018, serving a crowd of 1,200 by its third month of operation.
Since its inception, Slutty Vegan has experienced unprecedented success in its short tenure, including receiving a $100 million valuation after raising a $25 million Series A funding round in 2022.
In addition to her Slutty Vegan empire, Cole owns Bar Vegan, a trendy and upscale restaurant in Atlanta’s Ponce City Market.
The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. member has leveraged her success to give back to those in her community and those who aspire to tackle entrepreneurship. During the 2022 commencement speech at her alma mater, Cole gave all of Clark Atlanta’s graduates an LLC to establish a business of their choice.
Additionally, Cole is the visionary behind the social media idea turned real-time mega brainstorming and idea-generating event American Sesh.
