Here's The Method Behind Nick Cannon's Net Worth: 'I Started Investing Into My Own Company'

He may be the butt of many jokes, but Nick Cannon — and his bank account — are no laughing matter.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the former star of Nickelodeon’s “All That” signed a massive overall deal with Fox Networks in 2018 that netted him a small fortune. And his massive income has only grown year over year. Despite his recent controversial comments that landed him in hot water, Nick Cannon is still the host of “The Masked Singer,” where the International Business Times reports that he makes about $70,000 per episode.

What’s more, according to the outlet, he continues to make money from other acting gigs, endorsement deals, and anything else that falls under his NCredible Entertainment umbrella.

His investment strategy even once got him featured in The Wall Street Journal, where he told professional investors that he was “always taught” to invest in land, even in the midst of a recession. He also explained the pitfalls of investing in a city like Miami.

“It’s almost better to invest in yourself, and invest in your passions, uh, and that’s what I started to do. I started investing into my own company. And when you do that, and when you invest in your own passions, OTHER people will invest into your passions,” he said to the outlet.

Sure, on the surface, it’s almost easy — nay, obligatory — to clown him. But, like him or not, Nick Cannon stays with a check in his hand (Which is good, because somebody has to pay for all those kids of his…and it ain’t gonna be Mariah Carey).

So, we decided to do some digging. What is Nick Cannon’s net worth? Who’s he married to? And how many kids does he really have, anyway?

Let’s take a look.

1. What Is Nick Cannon's Net Worth?

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Nick Cannon has a net worth of $30 million.

Most of his net worth comes from his acting career, which began when he was a teenager and continues to this day. According to the outlet, he’s estimated to make about $5 million a year in salary.

He’s also made some money from real estate deals. Shortly after he and Mariah Carey filed for divorce, they put their Bel Air mansion on the market, which sold for $9 million. They purchased the home for $7 million, so they made about $2 million in profit.

2. How Old Is Nick Cannon?

Nick Cannon is 40-years-old as of this writing and was born on Oct. 8, 1980.

Nick Cannon was born in San Diego, CA, and got his start in a rap group before joining the original cast of Nickelodeon’s “All That.”

Most interestingly, he graduated from Howard University in 2020, with a bachelor’s degree in criminology/administration of justice and a minor in Africana Studies.

3. How Many Children Does Nick Cannon Have?

According to Parade Magazine, Nick Cannon has seven children in total, by four different women.

His first two children — twins Moroccan and Monroe — were born to Mariah Carey. Brittany Bell, his ex-girlfriend, is the mother of Golden Sagon and Powerful Queen. Abby de la Rosa, his current partner, gave birth to twins on June 14, 2021. Less than a week later, Alyssa Scott gave birth to Cannon’s fourth child in a year, and seventh child overall.

4. Is Nick Cannon In A Relationship?

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey were married from April 30, 2008 to Nov. 2, 2016. Currently, however, Nick Cannon is not married.

However, he recently told The Breakfast Club that he leads a “polygamous” lifestyle because he’s rebelling against the “Eurocentric” method of thinking.

“That’s a Eurocentric concept … the idea that you’re supposed to have this one person for the rest of your life,” he said. “We shouldn’t have anything. I have no ownership over this person. Those women, and all women, are the ones that open themselves up and say, ‘I would like to allow this man into my world and I will birth this child.’ It ain’t my decision. I’m just following suit.”
