A Million-Dollar Opportunity

“One of the greatest things I did — I made $1,000,000, [and] I’ll probably make millions off — was for free,” he shared during an interview with the Real Social Proof podcast. “She called me and she was like, ‘Wallo, I think I got something for you.’ I said, ‘How much they charging me, I mean how much I’m getting?’ She said, ‘Hey, you gon’ do a Ted Talk.'”

He recalls still being hung up on how much he would be paid for the opportunity.

“I said, ‘What? How much they giving me?’ She said, ‘Wallo, this is gon’ be for you.’ I said, ‘What you mean it’s gon’ be for me? How much they giving me?'”

The Desire For Success

As previously reported by AfroTech, the podcaster and Internet personality has been intentional about his pursuit of success after serving 20 years in prison.

“I always tell these dudes it costs too much to be a criminal,” Wallo267 told The Pivot Podcast. “Out of a lot of people, I was one of the people to be able to flip that time. That five minutes that it took me to get all that time, later on in life, we in Philadelphia like probably 20 blocks from here — it’s a restaurant called Devon’s. I went into Devon’s … and it took me less than five minutes to close a multi-million dollar deal.”

The Domino Effect

It looks like that is just one of many pinnacles of success that he’s achieved thus far.

For Wallo267, agreeing to participate in the Ted Talk opened the door to an array of opportunities.

And although he was looking to receive a payment for his time, the most that he got was hotel accommodations. However, an even greater reward was waiting for him on the other side.

“I went and did the Ted Talk,” he explained. “I lost count of how many bookings I got from that speech.”

Your next blessing could be on the other end of a task you might be hesitant to do.

This may or may not be a sign to go for it — it’s up to you.
