The nation’s first climate-friendly snack brand could soon become more accessible for Americans.

Certified WBENC woman-owned business and BIPOC-founded and owned brand, Moonshot, has announced that it’s expanding its distribution.

Its signature crackers are now available for purchase through several value-aligned retailers both in-stores and online, including Bubble, Goldune, and New Leaf, reports 69 News.

Created by Planet FWD, Moonshot is made with the planet’s health in mind.

“We’re thrilled to grow the reach of our climate-friendly food movement with retailers that consumers already rely on to uphold their sustainability standards,” shared Julia Collins, founder, and CEO of Moonshot in a statement. “We recognize that the power of our impact cannot be achieved by any one brand alone and look forward to the continued growth of this movement through trusted retail partners.”

Research reveals that the global food system accounts for 34% of total greenhouse gas emissions and 71% of all food systems emissions come from agriculture and land use.

Not only is Moonshot committed to being a carbon-neutral brand, but the snack sources ingredients directly from farmers who practice regenerative agriculture.

The company currently works to both sequester and reduce its emissions, while offsetting those remaining emissions with a public benefit corporation, NativeEnergy, to double down on the fact that its operations remain carbon neutral.

Sourced right in the company’s home of Northern California, physical retailers like Berkeley Bowl and New Leaf now have Moonshot’s snacks readily available on their shelves. San Francisco Bay Area snackers can now purchase the snack through Zero Grocery.

In the next week, the brand will be available at other retailers across the country including Foxtrot Market, Hive Brands, and The Goods Mart with more locations on the way!

Currently, Moonshot crackers come in three distinct flavors: Sourdough Sea Salt, Tomato Basil, and Rosemary Garlic. Each snack is made to pair well or to stand alone.
