Jay-Z’s Roc Nation is all about the business, man.
According to HipHopDX, the company just appointed Brett Yormark as Chief Operating Officer. Previously, he worked as co-CEO of Roc Nation Unified and as President of Business Operations & Strategy.

“Roc Nation is one of today’s most culturally rich, diverse and innovative companies,” said Yormark, according to HipHopDX. “After the past two years working at Roc Nation, I have seen first hand that with determination and an entrepreneurial spirit, anything is possible.”
Stepping Up The Ladder
Following his role as CEO of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment for 15 years, Yormark joined the Roc Nation family in 2019 after years of collaborating with the brand through various ventures, including work through the Brooklyn Nets.
In his new position, Yormark will “provide leadership and strategic vision across Roc Nation verticals, while continuing to develop and execute long-term organizational objectives to support the company’s growth.”
“I am thrilled that Jay-Z, Desiree and the Roc Nation board have given me this opportunity and look forward to growing the company under their vision,” said Yormark, HipHopDX reports.
In the new role, he will continue to serve as a Roc Nation Unified division leader alongside his brother Michael Yormark. Michael currently leads the charge of “finding global licensing and unique branding opportunities for the company.”
