Jay-Z's Roc Nation Co-Launches Disruptive Multimedia Platform Celebrating Culture And Luxury

Roc Nation is launching yet another culture-shifting platform for the world of luxury.

Today, the Jay-Z founded company announced a partnership with Modern Luxury Media — America’s largest luxury media company — to launch a new disruptive brand and multimedia platform called “EDITION by Modern Luxury,” a press release reports. The new outlet aims to both “amplify and elevate voices that are shaping popular culture.”

“The importance of elevating the voices of such a powerful community has never been greater,” Brett Yormark — president of business operations & strategy for Roc Nation — said in a statement. “We are excited to devote our efforts in creating a platform that is not only exciting but necessary in order to push the luxury media industry forward.”

Roc Nation co-founder and CEO Desiree Perez echoed his statement noting Modern Luxury Media’s history of building brands in luxury that drive impactful content.

“We couldn’t think of a better partner to launch EDITION,” she said, “and provide a platform to amplify the voices of a powerful community.”

EDITION will reportedly offer the first fully multi-platform portal inside the luxury space that’s designed to celebrate talent from diverse communities. The outlet will provide print, digital, social and experiential activations, as well as insider content, audio and video storytelling that will be revealed through hidden tokens embedded throughout each issue.

The goal for this innovative platform is to appeal to today’s digital audiences by embracing diverse content creators and celebrating talent that comes from a variety of disciplines.

To achieve this goal, Isoul H. Harris — an award-winning journalist and former editor-in-chief of UPTOWN Magazine — has been appointed as the platform’s editor-in-chief, where he will be working closely with Jana Fleishman, Roc Nation EVP Strategy & Communications, and the Modern Luxury team to ensure that the outlet is constantly evolving and elevating diverse voices.

“With EDITION, we have a unique opportunity to define what luxury means now, and also challenge how the world perceives and understands culture,” he shared in a statement. “I am beyond excited to help shape a visionary platform that understands the aspirational significance of exploring creativity in the luxury space.”

With ventures like music, cannabis, cryptocurrency, collectibles and now new media under its belt, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation is casting its net wide to secure its place as a true influencer in pop culture.

EDITION by Modern Luxury is set to debut in winter 2021.
