B. Simone Reportedly Earned Around $30K By Charging Instagram Users To Join Her 'Close Friends'

One thing’s for certain, two things for sure, folks will always have something to say about B. Simone.

In the latest news, the social media influencer and entrepreneur has been on the receiving end of social media backlash after she began charging fans $10 to be added to her “close friends” on Instagram.

“VIP ONLY. If you aren’t on my close friends you are truly missing out,” B. Simone shared in a video on IG. “I’m heading to Mexico in two days you don’t wanna miss this! All my vacation footage be on my close friends. LINK IN BIO! You will be added within 48 hours. Good luck.”

Quickly following the post, social media users took to the net to slam the “Wild’N Out” actress and began to accuse her of scamming her fans.

“Something is seriously wrong with social media influencers,” one user noted. “They love to capitalize and profit off of poor people.” Another user said, “Just hope people ain’t this damn desperate.”

This isn’t the first time that B. Simone has faced backlash due to her actions and comments on social media. In 2020, she was accused of plagiarism for the book, “Baby Girl: Manifest The Life You Want.” Not only was she accused of stealing another person’s idea, but fans were also disappointed to find that the pages were falling apart — noting that the book appeared to be more of a pamphlet than an actual sturdy book for reading.

Nonetheless, B. Simone still persevered and has gone on to ink partnerships with Footaction, continued appearances on “Wild’N Out,” and maintains a loyal following on social media. Some people thought her move to charge for content was an excellent marketing strategy and jumped to the Instagram personality’s defense.

“Why not? Everyone is giving content away and as we see the true winners are Mark Zuckerberg,” said radio and television personality, Claudia Jordan. “If they’re willing to pay for it why the hell not?

In the meantime, B. Simone continues to get to that bread as that folks are indeed signing up to be added to her close friends list!

“It’s 1.40$ a day relax [crying laughing emoji],” she wrote, according to HotNewHipHop. “And 3000 plus people (and counting) seem to want this content ! If you don’t want to be on my close friends them I’m not talking to you [shrug emoji] see you 3k people in Mexico [red heart emoji].”
