WNBA player Angel Reese is handling business on and off the court.
She is now representing the Atlanta Dream and has been a major asset in her team’s playoff run. The Atlanta Dream are currently tied 1-1 against the Golden State Valkyries after winning Game 2 on Monday, Oct. 19, USA Today reports. Reese followed up her 2026 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year win with a standout performance, recording 30 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks in Game 2, per the WNBA on X.
“I’m just doing whatever it takes to win. This environment is tough to play in,” she said, according to USA Today.

Reese’s success extends beyond the court. She earned $9.4 million in 2025 alone while playing for the Chicago Sky, according to Forbes’ list of the highest-paid female athletes of 2025. Beyond partnerships, a common thread in Reese’s business moves has been investing. She holds stake in the DC Power Football Club, the Black-led skincare brand Topicals, and the media and commerce company Togethxr. She also plays in the 3-on-3 basketball league Unrivaled and, according to Front Office Sports, is among the league’s inaugural players to receive an equity stake.
Reese’s latest move is joining the Brisbane Bullets’ ownership group as it bids to become the 10th WNBL franchise in Australia, according to Basketball.com.au.
“As a woman, it’s really hard in the industry of anything that they try to do, and I just hope I inspire young women that they can do anything they put their minds to,” Reese shared on a crossover podcast episode of “It’s a Cole World” and “Cut to the Jase,” per the outlet. “You can be a basketball player, but you can also be a fashion icon. You can do everything you put your mind to. So I want women and young women to hopefully be inspired by that.”
Brisbane Bullets CEO Malcolm Watts commented:
“Angel is a fantastic ambassador for basketball and a globally recognised superstar. She has proven there is no ceiling for female athletes, and that is a powerful message for kids picking up a basketball in Brisbane. Basketball is Queensland’s fastest growing sport, and having Angel involved as we pursue a WNBL team is a huge asset.”
The Australian league says a Brisbane team could join the WNBL by next season, which is the wish of WNBL Chief Operating Officer Justin Nelson.
