Slutty Vegan’s Pinky Cole is on a mission to break down financial barriers and help the Atlanta, GA community achieve financial wealth!
No stranger to breaking barriers, Pinky Cole knows what it means to achieve success by her measures, which is why she didn’t let anything get in between the launch of her vegan restaurant, Slutty Vegan. To date, she has gained a national following through the food chain and has hopes to help others reach identical pinnacles of success.
Together with the nation’s only all-digital bank, Varo — Cole will launch a community giveback program to provide Atlantans with a brighter future equipped with a financial gain during the holiday season.
“Pink Cole embodies our values and spirit of innovation at Varo,” said Varo Founder and CEO Colin Walsh in an official press release shared with AfroTech. “She is a tremendous force for good and we could now think of a more impactful community leader and gamechanger to partner with. We were proud to celebrate her trailblazing success and transformational community efforts to help Atlantans build a better financial future for themselves and their families.”
The Partnership
Cole built the Pinky Cole Foundation to help others chase their entrepreneurial dreams. Now, thanks to the help of Varo, the entrepreneur will have the chance to take her initiatives to help others to a whole new level.
“I built my business from scratch and know firsthand that everyone deserves the opportunity to make their money work for them, regardless of their history or income level,” Cole said in the statement. “I’m so thrilled to partner with Varo as their mission truly resonates with what I represent and believe in. Together, we can do more to help people with the tools and access they need to successfully manage their money and put themselves on stronger financial footing.”
The Community
One of the main goals of both the Pinky Cole Foundation and Varo is to set underserved communities up for success by equipping them with resources that will lead to a better financial future.
There will be something called Pinky’s December Days of Giving in alignment with their goal.
As part of the initiative, Varo has pledged a donation to empower up to 49 Atlanta entrepreneurs with the funds needed to launch their businesses and sustain those small businesses.
Funds will be used for the business owners to obtain the legal licenses and other necessary startup costs that create barriers for entry for aspiring entrepreneurs within the Black community.
Varo will also assist Cole during the grand opening of her fourth Slutty Vegan ATL location in Duluth, GA, on Dec. 18 by offering free meals and other surprises to those in attendance.
Lastly, the Varo x Pinky Cole Giveback Sweepstakes will launch in January 2022 to provide more significant financial and professional empowerment opportunities.
Prizes include a year of mentorship from Pink Cole for an aspiring entrepreneur or professional, one year of financial coaching from Varo’s personal finance advocate and best-selling author Kevin L. Matthews II, as well as other cash prizes.
