We see you, Petunia!

According to Billboard, Teyana Taylor’s new collab with the Jordan Brand sold out within minutes.

The debut collection with the legendary sports icon’s brand “represents her journey as a rose navigating through the concrete.”

The Sneaker

Unleashed to the world on Thursday (June 1), the official Teyana Taylor x Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2 “A Rose From Harlem,” quickly sold out. However, while the shoes are no longer in stock, fans can grab her remaining apparel from the collection.

“The evolution of a rose. From a Bud…to a Bouquet,” wrote the Harlem entertainer in an Instagram post accompanied by photos from the campaign. “I present my Nana, My Mama, and My Seed. (Rue was knocked… but we can say she was planted).”

While everyone was excited about the collection, others took to social media to express their disappointment for alleged “bots” flooding the SNKRS app where the shoes were available for purchase.

“It sucks your actual fans had to compete against bots,” one person commented on the Instagram post. “I placed my order at exactly 9 AM and still didn’t get them. I’m so hurt.”

Taylor, who first joined the entertainment industry at the age of 15, has continued to thrive as a singer, dancer, actress, and creative director, despite her announcement to retire from music.

When she isn’t curating fashion pieces, the wife and mother of two is also flexing her acting skills in films like Hulu’s “White Men Can’t Jump” and “A Thousand and One.”

Her Continued Success

As previously reported by AfroTech, Taylor’s net worth is an estimated $5 million and growing thanks to her contributions to music, real estate, fashion, and her Aunties 360, a production company that secured five acres of land in January 2021 to provide services for creatives, including dance, recording, prop studios, equipment, and 360 green screen rooms.

Teyana Taylor continues to give “the rose that grew from concrete” a whole new meaning.
