Yara Shahidi has crossed the finish line. According to People, the Grown-ish and Black-ish star has officially graduated from Harvard University. While we are excited for her, it was also hard for Shahidi to contain her excitement, even creating a series of posts leading up to the big day on Instagram. “Celebrating ALL week! Yara Shahidi has the amount of discipline that we all should aspire to have! When it comes to work-life balance, the 21-year-old actress has life totally figured out as she admits to dipping out on Sunday’s Emmys early to attend classes at Harvard University. “I do fly out tonight to make it to class in time,” shared the “Grown-ish” actress in an interview with ET. “The lovely people at The Academy really helped me out because I was like, ‘Guys, I have a hard out to make this flight.” That’s right, Shahidi put in a special request to present earlier in the ceremony in order to make her flight in time. Yara Shahidi Teases Upcoming adidas Collab That Honors Her Heritage

“Grown-ish” actress Yara Shahidi is making some grown moves of her own with her latest brand collaboration. The young Hollywood star has unveiled her newest partnership with adidas to curate a five-piece collection as an ode to her Black and Iranian roots, Harper’s Bazaar reports. “My first instinct was how do we honor the past in a way that also pays homage to the future,” Shahidi tells the outlet. “The one thing that I wanted people to take away was even though a lot of these details are specific to my own growing up and the things that impacted me, the entire campaign is about how we re-create our heritage.
