Kevin Liles continues to make money moves in the music industry. In a recent press release, it was revealed that the independent label 300 Entertainment — which Liles heads up — has just been sold to Warner Music Group in a deal that’s reportedly worth $400 million. As part of the deal, Kevin Liles will be appointed Chairman & CEO across 300 and Elektra Music Group. Howard University’s School of Business announced today that it’s received a $4.9 million gift from Warner Music Group and the Blavatnik Family Foundation Social Justice Fund to fund the development of a new music business center. According to an announcement from the university, the new center will operate as an academic hub to help support students pursuing career endeavors in music business management. “I’d like to thank the Warner Music Group and the Blavatnik Family Foundation Social Justice Fund for this significant gift to launch the music business center at Howard University.
