This was the case for famed rapper Ma$e, who took time to give award-winning producer Jermaine Dupri his flowers. Ma$e had been impacted by Dupri early on. As a member of Hip Hop group Harlem World, he and the group signed a production deal with Dupri’s label So So Def Records in 1998, according to MTV. Through a partnership with Dupri, Ma$e would then launch his own label to release the group’s music, reports Vice. Jermaine Dupri is in the ice cream business. According to Veg News, the Grammy award-winning producer has teamed up with Malcolm Stogo and Big Innovations Group Inc. to launch JD’s Vegan, a three-flavor collection of vegan ice creams inspired by his hometown of Atlanta, GA. JD’s Vegan, which is made from a coconut cream base, comes in the following flavors: “Welcome to Atlanta Peach Cobbler” (made with golden peaches and dotted with crumbled cobbler); “Apple Butter” (a buttery apple base swirled together with toasted cinnamon streusel crumble); and “Strawberry Sweetheart” (featuring strawberry chunks and swirls).
