Your life can change in the blink of an eye, and this has been the case for Monet McMichael.

In 2022, McMichael was a graduate of Rutgers Nursing School. That same year was also when she started taking off on social media and scored her very first brand deal with Priyanka Chopra’s Anomaly Haircare, according to Teen Vogue and WWD.

“There was definitely a fork in the road where I had to decide like which one I was gonna put like my all into,” she told Forbes in a 2023 interview. “I mean this being my career now is an absolute dream and I definitely am chasing it right now, but I’m so glad I graduated. I got my degree and I learned so much in nursing school that I feel like could never be taken away from me.”

Content creation was nothing new for McMichael. She uploaded her first YouTube video when she was 9 years old, admitting she wanted to become a “beauty guru,” notes WWD. She certainly has achieved that goal of becoming an influence in the realm of beauty, securing partnerships with Fenty Beauty, Hourglass Cosmetics, and Anastasia Beverly Hills.

Now, in 2025, she ranks among the top content creators, boasting over 5 million followers combined across Instagram and TikTok. Her more recent partnership lineups include AirLightPro, Pandora, Neutrogena, YSL Beauty, Abercrombie, and others.

“TikTok is definitely my biggest platform… It’s insane that these brands that I absolutely love and have the opportunity to partner with and share the love have a code so people can get a discount and just talk all things beauty, and it’s cool to see like the reach now,” she told Forbes in an interview.

According to the outlet, McMichael is ranked No. 49 on its 2025 Top Creators list, which highlights 50 individuals who collectively earned $853 million across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, an 18% increase from 2024. McMichael brought in $7.7 million, earning a spot in the company of major names like MrBeast at No. 1 ($85 million), comedian Druski at No. 9 ($14 million), Twitch streamer Kai Cenat at No. 28 ($8.5 million), and fashion creator Wisdom Kaye at No. 48 ($5 million).
