Rihanna is in full business mode!
Just last week, AfroTech reported that the mogul is reportedly working with advisers on an initial public offering for Savage X Fenty this year, which would bring its valuation to $3 billion or more. Now, she’s said to be taking her empire to the metaverse.
Rihanna has filed for a Fenty trademark through Roraj Trade LLC, Boardroom reports. The announcement comes in from trademark attorney Josh Gerben of Gerben Law, who broke the news via Twitter.
“Rihanna has filed a new trademark application indicating that she will offer “virtual” cosmetics and hair care products under her FENTY brand. Coming to a virtual world near you soon…” he wrote.

Fenty Trademark
Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty shook up the cosmetic industry since its launch, and it appears that the success in real life is translating to the metaverse, too.
According to the outlet, the trademark will include downloadable virtual goods, retail store services, entertainment services, and mobile applications. From the looks of the full description, Fenty fans can expect makeup-focused computer games, virtual merchandise, virtual environments for haircare and skincare, mobile apps, NFTs, and more.
Fenty's Wins
It’s becoming hard to keep up with all of the wins of Rihanna’s brands, but AfroTech has been stepping up to the plate.
As previously reported in January 2022, Savage X Fenty raised $125 million in its Series C funding round. The latest round was announced less than a year after the lingerie brand became a billion-dollar brand in 2021.
“Following the completion of the fundraising round where L Catterton took a stake in Savage X Fenty, LVMH and Rihanna reaffirmed their ambition to concentrate on the growth and the long-term development of Fenty ecosystem focusing on cosmetics, skincare, and lingerie,” Rihanna and LVMH announced in a joint statement to WWD following the brand’s Series B funding round.
Based on her accomplishments and the new trademark, Rihanna seems to be taking everything under the Fenty umbrella to the next level and beyond.
