Mastercard has made its way into the music industry. The global pioneer in payment innovation and technology has launched its first-ever music album, Priceless®, with the help of Timbaland’s Beatclub music platform.

“Our first-ever music album featuring the inspiring, original work of 10 rising artists takes our innovative sonic branding approach to an even higher, unmatched level,” said Raja Rajamannar, Mastercard’s chief marketing and communications officer and president, Healthcare, in an official statement. “From Algeria to Australia and Slovenia to Sweden, each of the artists integrated our melody into their songs and created something that we are all truly proud of! We hope others will enjoy these songs as much as we do.”

The Project

The album features 10 songs by 10 various artists from across the globe with the incorporation of the recognizable melody of Mastercard’s brand sound into each track. With the help of Timbaland’s Beatclub, the company was able to leverage up-and-coming music creators who were mentored by the legendary producer for two standout songs on the project.

Extending beyond just making the music, the Beatclub collaboration also includes one-year memberships to the platform for rising creatives from disenfranchised communities, courtesy of Mastercard.

Partnering With The Best in Business

“This partnership was a natural fit given Mastercard and Beatclub’s mutual goal of supporting artists and the industry,” said Timbaland. “Together we’re elevating emerging artists through the power of music and mentorship. Providing platforms, tools, and connections for creators to pursue their passions opens doors for countless artists to break into an industry that is often impenetrable.”

Mastercard has also tapped Spotify as its launch partner and will introduce the tunes at an exclusive launch party with the brand. As previously reported by AfroTech, the brand is no stranger to the music business, having collaborated with heavy hitters that include Jennifer Hudson, SZA, and more!
