Kevin Durant has joined Michael Jordan and LeBron James in inking a rare contract.

On his media company’s website, Boardroom, the NBA champion revealed that he has signed a lifetime deal with Nike.

Initially connecting in 2007, Durant has built a relationship with the brand including collaborating on 15 signature shoes as well as an upcoming 16th to be released.

“When I first signed with Nike, I couldn’t have dreamed of how far we’d go in this partnership,” Durant said, according to the outlet. “We’ve done amazing work creatively and philanthropically. We’ve traveled the world together and built a business that will now last forever. I’m excited for the future and honored to be in rare company with this deal.”

In addition to the KDs, for over nearly two decades, the Phoenix Suns superstar has had a longtime collaboration with Nike through his efforts in grassroots basketball, as well as basketball court refurbishments in underserved communities around the world through the Durant Family Foundation and Durant’s EYBL program, Team Durant, the media company details.

Now, the dynamic duo is embarking on a lifetime partnership.

“As one of best basketball players in the world, Kevin Durant has been an important part of the Nike family for the past 16 years,” said Nike EVP of Global Sports Marketing John Slusher. “We look forward to continuing to serve the next generation of athletes together.”

Prior to signing the lifetime deal, Durant had already shown his loyalty to Nike.

Back in 2014, he was reportedly offered a deal with Under Armour worth between $265 million and $285 million over 10 years, according to ESPN’s sources. However, Nike matched the offer and he turned Under Armour down, per Bleacher Report.
