Jalen Hurts is still striving for greatness.
On May 12, 2023, Hurts took center stage as he received a master’s degree in human relations from The University of Oklahoma.
“Know Momma Proud Of This One.. Master of Human Relations,” Hurts wrote in an Instagram caption.

Previously, Hurts earned a bachelor’s degree in communication and information sciences at the University of Alabama while leading the Crimson Tide to two consecutive national championships, per CNN.
He completed his schooling in three years and transferred to the University of Oklahoma for his senior year to begin his graduate studies.
In 2020, Hurts made his splash in the NFL when he was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles as the No. 53 overall pick. The team recently made their way to Super Bowl LVII, but ultimately lost to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Hurts continues to prove his excellence despite the upset.
“Leads his team to a Super Bowl, becomes the highest paid player in NFL history, while finishing his Master’s Degree. I couldn’t be more proud of you, J,” Nicole Lynn, Hurts’ agent, wrote on Instagram.

Among his growing list of accomplishments, Hurts made headlines for becoming one of the highest-paid players in the league. As AfroTech previously told you, the Philadelphia Eagles and Hurts reached an agreement on a five-year, $255 million extension, to his contract, including $179.304 million guaranteed.
Hurts is supported by an all-women management team, which includes Lynn, Chantal Romain, and Shakeemah Simmons-Winter.
“I admire anyone who puts their head down and works for what they want,” Hurts said, according to Sports Illustrated. “And I know women who do that daily, but they don’t get the same praise as men—they don’t get the praise that they deserve. I’ve seen that now with tons of different women in my life that are hustlers. Athletes, coaches, women in the business world of sports. I see it all the time. And they deserve their flowers too. So if me saying something about it brings more attention to it, then I’m all for that.”
