Lil Uzi Vert has proven that you can be emo and successful.

The Philadelphia native-born Symere Bysil Woods has had a string of Hip-Hop hits, including “Money Longer” and “You Was Right” since he first exploded onto the scene in 2016.

But, these days, he’s been making a different type of money move.

As AfroTech previously reported, Lil Uzi Vert made headlines when he reportedly used the cryptocurrency, Ethereum, to purchase a car for his longtime girlfriend, City Girls superstar JT. And he clearly has the money to plunk down for such an impressive car.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, the “emo rapper” — who claims to be a fan of rock acts like Paramore and My Chemical Romance, and claims they’ve influenced his rap style — is one of the top-paid rappers in the industry today. Between September 2017 and September 2018, he earned an impressive $20 million and that was based solely on the strength of his album and single sales. On the streaming side, Spotify reports that Lil Uzi Vert has nearly 23 million monthly listeners, and his “XO Tour Llif3” single has had nearly two billion streams since it hit the controversial streaming platform.

All told, it’s this — and more — that has given him a $25 million net worth. Let’s take a look at a quick breakdown of his earnings.

Music Career

As an “emo rapper” who cites rockers like Marilyn Manson as his influence, Lil Uzi Vert has made quite an impressive career for himself.

In 2017, Forbes reported that the song “Bad and Boujee,” which featured Migos, went quadruple-platinum, and he followed up that success with the quadruple-platinum hit, “XO Tour Llif3.”

According to the RIAA, Lil Uzi Vert’s “Eternal Atake” album has been certified platinum, and his “Luv is Rage 2” album has been certified 2x multi-platinum. In addition, “Lil Uzi Vert vs. The World” has also been certified platinum, and he has several gold singles to his credit.

That Infamous Diamond

Early in 2021, GQ reported that Lil Uzi Vert dropped $30 million on an 11-carat pink diamond that he subsequently (allegedly) implanted into his forehead.

But in September 2021, the rapper claimed that fans ripped the diamond out of his head at Rolling Loud.

“I had a show at Rolling Loud and I jumped into the crowd and they kind of ripped it out,” he said, adding that he still had the diamond locked away in a safe somewhere.

Real Estate

In May 2021, Lil Uzi Vert dropped $4.4 million on a unique Bell Canyon, CA mansion. According to The Dirt, the five-bedroom, five-and-a-half bathroom mansion sits on a cozy 1.5 acres and includes such features as an open floor plan, a pool with a jacuzzi, and gorgeous views of the mountains.
