Lil Nas X is hoping to improve the financial futures of the youth through his partnership with Cash App.

Earlier this month, the mobile payment service announced it would be catering to younger users, according to The Verge. Now, teens can create a Cash App account that allows them to send and receive money, among other features. It’s also worth noting that teens will need to have parental authorization before using the app along with certain parameters.

To celebrate, Lil Nas X and Cash App will give $1 million to everyone ages 13 and up.

“I’ve been on Cash App for years–and now it’s available to anyone 13+up!” Lil Nas X said in a tweet. “I know managing money as a teen can be tough & I’m thrilled more young people can take control of their financial futures w. @CashApp. We’re giving $1M to anyone 13+ so drop ur $cashtag + #CashApp13plus.”

Lil Nas X can be seen in a video sharing with teens all the new perks they will receive outside of the $1 million giveaway such as the Cash Card, in which users can receive discounts just for swiping the free debit card at their favorite spots.

To be eligible for the giveaway, users must adhere to the guideline of being ages 13 and up and comment their $cashtag along with the hashtag, #CashApp13Plus under Lil Nas X’s social media channels (Twitter, Instagram and TikTok).

The giveaway will end when all the funds have been distributed.

This isn’t Cash App’s first million-dollar giveaway with a high-profile celebrity. As AfroTech previously reported, the financial giant teamed up with Megan Thee Stallion this past summer, surprising “the hotties” by giving away $1 million worth of stocks to promote financial literacy.
