It looks like Kerby Jean-Raymond’s time at Reebok is soon coming to an end.

In October 2020, AfroTech reported that the Pyer Moss founder became the sneaker company’s global creative director.

“I am thrilled to be evolving my role at Reebok and joining the leadership team as the head of Creative Direction,” he shared back in 2020, according to Sneaker News. “I welcome this opportunity to help invigorate the brand with new ideas, while also focusing on instilling a sense of social purpose into our work.”

Prior to being appointed to the title, him and his company were a major key in bringing forward their ideas to build in collaboration with Reebok. Since his role as the head of creative direction, the fashion designer’s innovation within the space worked to breathe new life into the longtime brand.

His creative leadership was behind multiple projects including “Product with Purpose,” which aimed to take the company’s United Against Racism commitments to a higher level.

Now, Jean-Raymond has announced that he will be stepping down from his position at Reebok, according to a press release.

Kerby Jean-Raymond's Departure

The press release shared that Jean-Raymond’s departure from Reebok will be effective March 1, 2022.

“I enjoyed my time with Reebok and wish the company well in all of its future endeavors,” said Jean-Raymond.

Reebok's Statement

“We want to sincerely thank Kerby for his many contributions to Reebok,” said Reebok President Matt O’Toole. “The positive impact he has made on the brand will be felt for years to come. We wish him the very best.”

The Final Collection

While it hasn’t been announced of when or if the Reebok global creative director role will be replaced, Jean-Raymond will be leaving off on a high note with his final offering from Reebok by Pyer Moss —Collection 4, which will be released in late March 2022.
