Gabrielle Union first came to our attention when she was cast as one of the leads in the 1999 film, “She’s All That.” After she appeared in the cult classic film, “10 Things I Hate About You,” she followed it up with her breakthrough role in the film “Bring It On.” And from that day forward, she was indomitable.

Today, Gabrielle Union continues to act in more mature roles, including “Think Like a Man” and “The Birth of a Nation.” But more than just an actress, Union is a multi-hyphenate businesswoman in the truest sense of the word. She has invested in several businesses, thus diversifying her investments. Together with her husband — NBA superstar Dwyane Wade — she has invested in a variety of properties. And, in a nutshell, she has become the very pinnacle of success in a world driven by youth and inexperience.

There’s a reason, according to Celebrity Net Worth, that Gabrielle Union has amassed a $40 million fortune — and it’s because she’s a lot more than just a pretty face. She’s a whip-smart businesswoman, she’s a wonderful wife, and she’s an even better mother and stepmother. She’s someone we can all look up to and celebrate.

Let’s take a look at how she amassed her fortune.

Editorial note: The net worth listed in this piece is a speculative estimate drawn from a variety of online sources.

Bitsy's Snack Foods

Did you know that Gabrielle Union founded a cracker line called Bitsy’s? That’s right! The all-natural crackers “are baked with organic veggies, lots of love, and inspiration in every bite,” according to their official website.

Flawless by Gabrielle Union

Gabrielle Union has a natural haircare line called (what else?) Flawless by Gabrielle Union. However, this wasn’t her first time venturing into the industry.

As AfroTech previously told you, “Union’s first attempt at launching the line came in 2017 but she quickly halted the project when she began to lose her own hair as a result of IVF treatment.”

The affordable line includes a selection of shampoos, conditioners, and leave-in treatments.

Gabrielle Union knows that her relationship with Dwyane Wade isn’t without controversy — and she addresses them all in her memoir, “You Got Anything Stronger?” In the book, she explains that the couple learned to stick together through thick and thin — all while handling adversity with grace.

In addition to her most recent memoir, Gabrielle Union is the author of “We’re Going to Need More Wine,” which is a New York Times bestseller.

Real Estate

Gabrielle Union’s first real estate ventures go all the way back to 2010. At the time, according to The Wall Street Journal, her now-husband, Dwyane Wade, had purchased a home in Miami for $10.6 million. After they got married, they sold the home in 2021 for $22 million, according to the Triangle Business Journal.

In 2018, the Los Angeles Times reported that the Wades paid $6 million for a home in Sherman Oaks, CA. In May 2021, they sold the property for $5.5 million, taking a $500,000 loss.

Currently, the pair live in a mansion in Hidden Hills, CA. The 17,000-plus-square-foot home was purchased in 2020, and the pair paid $17.9 million.
