Earlier this year, Tramar Dillard — also known as platinum-selling Grammy-nominated artist Flo Rida — announced a partnership with Victor G. Harvey Sr. to create South Florida’s largest craft vodka brand, Victor George Vodka (VG Vodka).

Now, the two partners have officially kicked off the brand’s launch with several major retailers — including Hy-Vee, Total Wine, Trader Joe’s and Binny’s Beverage Depot. Thus, making VG Vodka the first Black-owned, ultra-premium vodka to be distributed nationally in the U.S., according to a news release.

“We are extremely excited about our recent growth and the addition of new distribution and retail partners,” said CEO/Founder, Victor G. Harvey Sr., in a press statement. “This has given us the opportunity to expand our brand nationwide during a time when everyone can use a little hope.”

A news release shares that Flo Rida was brought onto VG Vodka as an equity partner to help build brand awareness for the company and grow distribution both nationally and internationally.

His future plans for the brand include creating additional VG spirit lines that may be announced as early as next year.

“I’m super excited for this next chapter of VG Vodka. Being a black-owned producer and distributor of spirits in the United States is a game changer for celebrities and artists,” Flo Rida said in a statement. “I’m honored to be the face and ambassador of this smooth vodka but more importantly, an equity owner in the brand.”

VG is based in South Florida and also distributed throughout the South East region — including states such as Florida, Georgia, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Illinois, Tennessee, and ten more additional states — with new distributors and major retailers set to introduce VG this spring.

In addition to retail expansion, Flo Rida and Harvey Sr.’s 2021 plans include building a 13,000-square-foot facility to house a 4,500-square-foot distillery in Fort Lauderdale along with a cigar bar, wine bar, lounge, and restaurant.
