Nina Parker is taking things to all new heights!
The E! News correspondent has always looked for ways to express herself through fashion and when bold, bright, and flawless clothes weren’t readily available to her, she decided to make her own.
“With plus sizes, it’s like they want us to hide,” said the “Nightly Pop” host in an exclusive with E! News. “They’re matronly, something my aunties might wear. I’m like ‘I don’t understand why big has to mean conservative.'”
She explains that each time she’s on the hunt to find something to show off on E!’s red carpet, her options are always slim to none with limited black and basic silhouette designs.

“My stylist and I were trying to find stuff off of the rack and it just wasn’t comparable to my counterparts,” she continued. “It felt really unfair, like ‘Yes, I am bigger than them, but does that mean I don’t matter as much because my waist is bigger?'”
Absolutely not! Parker has always been one to run with an opportunity and this time wasn’t any different. Last year she created her own look for the Oscar’s and this year she came back to the design table to create her look for the Golden Globes.
Now, she’s whipping up your next favorite outfit through her very own clothing line.
The Nina Parker Collection for Macy’s is launching just in time for summer and it will be the department store’s first-of-its-kind plus-size line brought to you by a Black woman.
“I was tired of trying to make things work,” Parker explained. “I was tired of trying to make a square a peg fit into a circle. So, I was like, ‘Let me create my own circle.'”
Her circle not only was made to design a woman’s curves but to also show off her personality
With 17 pieces ranging from size 16W to 24W, Parker is hopeful that her tank tops, form-fitting dresses, denim, loud prints, and fun fabrics allow women to truly be seen.
“I want them to feel like they matter like they are a bad bitch,” said Parker. “I want them to feel bossy like they can walk in a room and everybody will take notice.”
You can catch The Nina Parker Collection for Macy’s starting in May.
