One thing about Ciara Princess Wilson? She’s going to forever reign as a hardworking multi-hyphenate entertainer.

It seems as though AfroTech has been reporting on the serial entrepreneur’s business moves all year — from launching her clothing line — LITA — earlier this year to her multiple business ventures under The House of LR&C with her husband Russell Wilson. Plus, with her latest partnership, she’s continuing to be a business mogul in the making.

Forbes reports that Ciara has recently joined Ten To One Rum’s founder and CEO Marc Farrell as an investor, co-owner and director for the brand.

“When I get a chance to do things and projects like this, I’m pretty involved,” Ciara told Forbes. “I look a step before the actual product to work with really great business partners. For me all the boxes were checked. This is a space that not too many women occupy, and I saw a tremendous opportunity as an entrepreneur, and as a woman of color.”

Ciara’s new roles for Ten To One Rum entails “focusing on marketing, creative and business development, as well as strategic partnerships,” according to Forbes.

With Ciara’s business acumen and her acquired skills from learning at Harvard Business School, she’s the perfect choice to hop on board with Farrell to bring the company’s story and Caribbean culture to a new audience.

“It’s so dope to have a partner like Ciara,” Farrell said. “When you start on a journey to create a brand, and bring a vision to life, there are core values you want the consumer to appreciate, and you’re trying to tell that story. It’s as much about the soul of the Caribbean, it’s optimism, spontaneity and joie de vivre, but also about reimagining and challenging the status quo.”

Ten To One Rum — founded in 2019 — offers a selection of premium and award-winning blended rums from around the Caribbean and currently has something special in the works for Black History Month for the upcoming year.
