The wait is over for Houstonians — and tourists, too — as Bun B has found a home for his beloved burger restaurant.

According to a press release sent to AfroTech, Bun B’s Trill Burgers will be opening its first brick-and-mortar shop, which will be located in the Montrose neighborhood.

Houstonians and tourists should look forward to a new signature burger among other new items on the menu.

Trill Burgers will open shop officially in early 2023.

“It’s been a long time coming, not just for us, but for anybody that’s had a Trill Burger or wanted a Trill Burger and couldn’t get one,” Bun B said, according to a press release. “We’ve been working hard to find the right location to make it as easily accessible to as many people as possible. I think we found that location, and we can’t wait to open these doors to the city of Houston and eventually the world.”

The news follows after a stellar year for Bun B and his burger spot.

In the city of Houston, Bun B was told by Mayor Sylvester Turner that National Cheeseburger Day would be proclaimed “Trill Burgers Day.”

Bun B also sold 12,000 burgers at the 2022 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. In addition, the rapper now holds the trophy of the best burger in America from Good Morning America, thanks to his OG Trill Burger, as AfroTech previously told you.

While there have already been many victories for Bun B, with his new announcement, it is clear there is more to come.

Outside of the strides Bun B is making in the restaurant industry, he hopes Trill Burger will leave an imprint on the city for “generations to come.”

“Trill Burgers allows my family, my grandkids to actually be a part of helping me build this. It will be something — if it’s done right — that will be here for generations to come,” Bun B told AfroTech in a previous interview.
