Leaving a legacy behind for your children is what it’s all about.

For Angela Simmons’ son, Sutton Joseph Tennyson Jr., that legacy looks like his very own clothing store.

Although his father, Sutton Joseph Tennyson, is no longer present in the physical, he has left behind a company, Little Giants Giant Shorties, for Tennyson to jumpstart his entrepreneurial dreams.

The Young CEO

“He loves business, he loves clothing, and he’s really excited about it,” said Simmons in a video shared on Instagram. “And it means the world that [his father’s] partner Ivan [Rivera] is still here and the company is growing, and I didn’t think there was a better time than right now to show him what his father had worked on.”

Little Giants Giant Shorties

Little Giants Giant Shorties, which was founded in 2013 in Atlanta, GA, now has its flagship store in Los Angeles, CA, and features streetwear clothing and goods for babies and children. Customers can also shop with the brand online.

“My baby is a young CEO,” wrote Simmons in the post. “His father was sure to leave him behind something he can grow with. My son loves making money (hustling). It’s in his blood. It’s time to finally give him what’s his!”

She continued: “Your son gets the torch now. Though you are not here with us, your legacy lives on. Go time baby boy.”

A Family Affair

Tennyson Jr. is following in his mother’s footsteps as well when it comes to entrepreneurship.

As previously reported by AfroTech, Simmons is the mastermind behind the shoe brand, Pastry, alongside her sister Vanessa, and has helped to grow the company into the No. 1 dance sneaker in the United States.

She is also the owner of Simmons Beauty, a skincare line that was launched in 2020 during the height of the pandemic.

Not to mention, she has partnered with Slutty Vegan founder Pinky Cole to launch a vegan funnel cake dessert called Angela’s Cakes.
