A new entertainment group is here, and it’s “the first group ever to be born on TikTok,” thanks to Simon Fuller.
Fuller, the creative mind behind hit series “American Idol,” housed auditions using TikTok last fall. Fuller created the popular hashtag #NextInMusic to find the next rising stars, and now the anticipation is over. Three singers and four dancers have been chosen and will become Future X, Variety reports.
“The Future X combines everything that is exciting about contemporary young artists: authenticity, confidence, empowerment and a unique balance between extraordinary dancers and iconic singers,” said Fuller, according to Variety.
Expect New Music March 2022
The chosen members of TikTok’s first entertainment group are Angie Green, Luke Brown, and Maci Wood plus dancers Jayna Hughes, Sasha Marie, Tray Taylor, and Drew Venegas. And, the newly formed group has already hit the ground running with music on the way.
Curious fans can expect live performances beginning March 2022, which will include dates accompanied by “Fuller-managed act” Now United, including shows in Brazil.
“Simon and his team are always at the forefront of music and cultural trends, and we’re delighted they’ve worked with TikTok to find exciting new talent in this way. TikTok is where new music creators and artists are finding their voice, sharing their creativity, and inspiring others to do the same – so it feels right that The Future X has come together from emerging TikTok talent. We can’t wait to see what the group achieves and are excited for the community to be sharing in their journey, and of course their music, through their presence on TikTok,” TikTok’s global head of music Ole Obermann said, according to Variety.
Future X To Receive Major Glow Up
Future X will be in for a major glow-up, as it plans to partner with e.l.f. Cosmetics to hunt for budding makeup artists.
If interested in applying, artists must sport innovative makeup looks using the #elfitup TikTok Hashtag Challenge, which ends Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 11:59 p.m. PST.
