Get To Steppin’

The iconic comedian and 90s sitcom star Martin Lawrence has stepped into the digital world by working on releasing a Cardano-powered NFT collection.

According to Crypto Globe, Lawrence is partnering with the Cardano ($ADA) community to design and launch the NFTs. Initially learning about the popular market through his team, Lawrence was impressed with NFT technology.

“Well, I think it’s interesting that people can have some in the metaverse that’s just for them,” Lawrence said.

The upcoming collection will include 30 exclusive NFTs launched in tandem with a special announcement with more details.

Beyond the NBA Finals

Basketball fans are anxious as the Golden State Warriors, and the Boston Celtics go back and forth to determine who will become this season’s champion. Now, fans can make this finals series a little more interesting by owning an NFT associated with the teams’ players’ most exciting moments.

Ten of the top trending players from each team on NBA Top Shot, the league’s official NFT marketplace, include players like Steph Curry, Jayson Tatum, and Damion Lee. Fans can visit NBA Top Shot to own, sell or trade official NFT collectibles from the current finals series.

Life After Being An International Player

UGK arguably has one of the most iconic Black classic rap songs in “International Players Anthem.” And while the song continues to be a staple in culture, life beyond its success has to keep going. Rap legend and member of the Texas group, Bun B, decided that one of his next moves is taking his restaurant into the NFT space.

Bun B’s Trill Burgers is getting the digital treatment in Long Beach, CA, where burgers and NFTs will come together to create an exclusive Bored Ape Yacht Club-themed restaurant called Bored & Hungry.

“The amazing thing about the NFT space is the opportunity for rapid growth,” Bun B explained. “Trill Burgers was born in Houston just last summer. We’ve done pop-ups. We’ve done festivals. We’re at the world’s biggest rodeo. And now, with Bored and Hungry, it opens us up to a worldwide community.”
