Though the women of the WNBA have returned to life outside the “Wubble,” the new Glossier campaign gives a glimpse of what went down inside.
This week, the skincare brand unveiled its collaboration with the pro league to launch two new products in its Body Hero line: the Exfoliating Bar and Dry-Touch Oil Mist. It is the WNBA’s first-ever beauty partner.

The ad features eight “heroes”— including Seimone Augustus (LA Sparks), Lexie Brown (Minnesota Lynx), Kalani Brown (Atlanta Dream), and Amanda Zahui B (New York Liberty) — and aims to combat the stereotype that female athletes aren’t considered the standard of beauty.
As a repetitive affirmation plays, each player details their daily beauty regimen in true self-recorded, “Get Ready With Me” fashion — a common video style for Glossier.
Taking a look at what the WNBA puts their bodies on the line for, this campaign is a perfect marriage. Just this past basketball season, for instance, the Milwaukee Bucks received high praise for their walkout for racial justice, but it’s the WNBA that has historically and consistently led social activism in sports — from Maya Moore to the Atlanta Dream’s stand against a BLM-hating co-owner.
